Vessel Desktop Proof of Concept

An all-day discovery and ideation session with a new internal employee from an adjacent industry of seafaring vessels resulted in this proof of concept. This was an early exploration and sizing of the vessel market as a strategic opportunity for GE Transportation to potentially enter. 

Discovery included mapping the on-board crew roles and tasks, widgets and tools used for on-board decision-making, the journey of a seafaring vessel including anomalies, the grander business pain points and objectives of the vessel market, and possible helm revisions to enable an automated future.
