Design Leadership

As the Global Head of Design at GE Transportation (General Electric), I was fortunate enough to built the entire design practice from scratch. During that time, I was able to assemble an amazing team, while establishing key programs within the organization to help amplify the impact of design within the business, our products, and our culture.

Below are highlights of a few programs—

Innovation Accelerator

The Innovation Accelerator vision was presented to business leaders in order to transform our approach to R&D. By merging business strategy and design thinking, we’re able to validate new innovations earlier and increase our success-to-failure ratio.

Award Winning Innovation Team

Leading the vision, strategy, and execution of what would become an award-winning Innovation Lab in nine months, I assembled the Innovation Lab with three complementary parts comprised of a physical space, a digital portal and innovation process, and a cross-functional team.

My team and I assembled an immersive training program for all GE Transportation employees to allow individual business units, project teams, and other groups to learn the value and how-to application of the design thinking approach in their everyday projects.
